Travel Insurance

Travel insurance offers travelers coverage for unforeseen problems, from a cancelled flight to a serious illness—or in rare cases, even an act of terrorism or the financial default of a travel supplier. If an illness, accident, or other covered unforeseen circumstance forces a traveler to cancel or interrupt their travel plans, they face two potentially major financial losses—money invested in nonrefundable pre-payments and medical expenses that in many instances may not be covered by health insurance.

10 Reasons to Purchase Travel Insurance

There are hundreds of circumstances that could cause you to cancel your trip, return home early or force you to seek emergency medical treatment while traveling.
To demonstrate the importance of purchasing travel insurance, and emergency travel services, here are 10 common examples of what could go wrong.

♦ It's 10 p.m. and you and your immediate family arrive at the airport for a connecting flight, only to find that your flight has been cancelled. Who can assist you with finding new flights to get everyone home?

♦ Your bag was lost with your insulin inside. You need help to locate your bag as soon as possible and have your emergency prescription filled. Who do you call?

♦ Your first visit to Europe, and your passport and wallet are stolen. Where do you turn for emergency cash, and how will you get your passport replaced?

♦ You're involved in an accident in New Zealand and adequate medical treatment is not available. Who will help arrange and pay for a medical evacuation?

♦ If your sister-in-law becomes seriously ill and you must cancel your trip, what happens to your non-refundable deposits or pre-payments?

♦ You arrive in Rome and your luggage doesn't. If it's lost, who will help you find it? If it's delayed, who will pay for your necessities? If it's stolen, who will pay to replace it?

♦ Your cruise line, airline or tour operator goes bankrupt. Who will pay for your non-refundable expenses? Who will help get you to your destination?

♦ You're walking down a street in Rio and twist your ankle. Who can help you find an English-speaking physician?

♦ Three weeks before your scheduled arrival, a terrorist incident occurs in the city to which you are planning to visit. Who will pay if you want to cancel your trip?

♦ You are at a beach resort in Jamaica, and you are forced to evacuate due to an approaching hurricane. Who will help you evacuate and who will reimburse your lost vacation investment?

It's a very small investment for HUGE peace of mind.

DAY 2 - Monday

Catalina Island

Santa Catalina Island has drawn Southern Californians for since the mid-1820s. That's when the Pimungan tribe settled there, attracted by the island's rich marine life. But Catalina's true popularity dates from 1919, the year Chicago chewing gum tycoon William Wrigley purchased the island development. Overnight Catalina secured its reputation as a playground for wealthy magnates and movie stars.

Since 1975, the Santa Catalina Island Conservancy has held most of Catalina in trust. Buffalo, imported for a 1924 movie, roam the island's sere uplands. Offshore kelp beds shelter brightly colored Garibaldi fish, sea lions and seals. Gray whales pass on their annual migration, and dolphins are a frequent sight.

The harbor village of Avalon, with its Mediterranean climate, palm trees, fountains, charming shops and plentiful outdoor activities, is equal parts small town island community, quality cultural resort and model ecological town. And offers countless activites for a free day, or an entire week!

It's no wonder the island - home to America's oldest fishing club - continues to woo weekend yachtsmen, deep-sea fishermen and divers as well as casual visitors content to explore Avalon's quaint lanes.

DAY 3 - Tuesday

Day At Sea!

Lounge, Relax, Party, Read, Sun, Play Cards, Indulge In the Spa, Enjoy a Cocktail, Engage in the Ship Activities…

Do or Don’t - It’s Your day!!!

DAY 4 - Wednesday

8a - 5p

Ensenada, Mexico

Ensenada is located 70 miles south of the international border, and visitors are drawn to Ensenada's warm Mediterranean climate, friendly atmosphere and easy access by land, air, and sea.

Today Ensenada is a progressive sea port that has been able to promote its beauty thru tourism worldwide, without neglecting its cultural, industrial and commercial activities. This virtuous balance, position Ensenada as an excellent rest and relaxation destination, has earned it to be the third largest city in Baja California and a key port in the Mexican Pacific seas.

Looking for fun?? Head to Riviera del Pacifico to listen to a lively Mariachi band, then let the costumed performers entertain you with authentic Mexican music and dance. It's a folkloric fiesta!

Enjoy countless outdoor activities like surfing, scuba diving, whale watching, fishing, or the beauty of Saints Bay, a marine undiscovered horizon.

The largest marine geyser in the world is located on the Punta Banda Peninsula. Watch as it blows upwards of 100 feet above sea level, hear its thunderous roar and expect to get wet!

The Baja wine country offers grape lovers a chance to visit the smallest independent wineries to producers on a large scale. Just a few miles northeast of Ensenada to Calafia Valley are two prolific wineries. The Guadalupe Valley is home to the award-winning L.A. Cetto Winery, one of Mexico's oldest wine estates. Take a tour, and nibble on cheese and crackers while sampling everything from zinfandel to cabernet sauvignon.
